Employees of the Rectorate of the Charles University and of the Computer Science Centre can use a software telephone exchange which runs as a pilot project. It is a Cisco Call Manager software telephone exchange which runs on a VMware virtual platform.

The exchange shares numbers from prefix 224491xxx with the existing telephone exchange for the compound of the Rectorate of the Charles University. This service is used mainly in cases when connection to the existing digital telephone exchange within the Rectorate compound cannot be established but it is desirable to preserve the phone extension of the employee (for example during moving).
