In 2018, the project co-financed the publication of an article that is very closely related to our study. Specifically, the article relates to the TRPV4 channels in reactive glial cells after ischemia, where we found that knock out of this channel can change the development of glial scar changing edema formation at the beginning of ischemia. This article also gave rise to other data, where we found that TRPV4 channel knockout affects oligodendrogliogenesis from NG2 cells especially reactive astrocytes derived from NG2 cells (EGFP+/tdTomato+ cells) (Fig.5)
