Workshop: Corrupting Youth with an Open Questioning Mindset

Questions are powerful. In fact, they are so powerful that the ancient Greeks killed Socrates for asking too many of them. Questions can change lives, overthrow regimes and start new scientific fields.

In this workshop, Peter Worley is going to demonstrate how to ask good questions in a pedagogical setting. He is going to explain how questions works and how they can be used to facilitate inquiry in the classroom, using principles derived from ancient Greek philosophers but supported by modern-day research.

Peter Worley is a leading figure in Philosophy for Children (P4C) and the developer of th PhiE (Philosophical Enquiry) method, widely used in classroom and public discussions internationally. Peter is the author/editor of eleven books and multiple papers and articles on education and philosophy practice.
