Seminar for Doctoral Students in Subject Didactics at Charles University

Dear Colleagues, we cordially invite you to the sixth Seminar for Doctoral Students in Subject Didactics at Charles University. The event will take place on 27 November 2025, starting at 2 PM in Room R302 at the Faculty of Education, Magdalény Rettigové 4.

The seminar will be held in person. The seminar is organised by the Coordination Board of the Doctoral Study Programme in Subject Didactics at Charles University as part of the Cooperatio project in the research area “Subject Didactics”. Our aim is to engage in the discussion on the methodology of didactic research that can be carried out by doctoral students within the timeframe of their studies. We believe that participants will receive valuable feedback that may also serve as an inspiration for others. The seminar represents an effort to create a shared platform for subject didactics across the university.The seminar is intended primarily for doctoral students who wish to refine the methodology of their doctoral research. Presenters will introduce the focus of their research and its methodology to fellow students as well as experienced supervisors from various subject didactics. The aim is to provide presenters with constructive and collegial feedback on their research.

For this reason, the seminar is especially suitable for those doctoral students who still have the opportunity to adjust and modify the methodology of their research. If you do not feel ready to present your research methodology to a more detailed scrutiny, you are warmly invited to attend as an observer without the need. Discussions on didactic research are beneficial regardless of your field, and the seminar is also open to doctoral students in later stages of their studies.Please register via the registration form.
