            We are pleased to invite you to the first International Conference on Psychobiography, whi

            take place at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education, Charles University in Pr
            on September 22nd and 23rd 2026.


            This pioneering event will bring together leading international scholars specializing in p
            research, providing a unique platform to present, exchange, and critically discuss new con
            in the field of contemporary interdisciplinary approaches. We welcome submissions focusing

            based analyses of historically significant individuals, methodological innovations in psyc
            research, ethical considerations in psychobiography, the historical development of the psy

            approach, as well as emerging trends in the field.

            Our keynote speakers are two prominent representatives of contemporary psychobiography: Dr

            (Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary), who will present the phenomenological and hermeneutic
            of psychobiographical methodology, and Prof. Claude-Helen Mayer (University of Johannesbur
            who will address the application of modern methods within psychobiographical research. The

            will feature a main section for active academics and a student section for Master’s and Do
            engaged with psychobiographical topics. Psychologists, historians, and scholars from relat
            and social science disciplines interested in exploring the psychobiographical approach are

            invited.

            Given the unique nature of this event, participants will have the opportunity to contribut

            on the status of psychobiography within the academic field, the current directions of psyc
            research, and the assessment of contemporary trends. Attendance will also facilitate netwo
            and the development of future collaborations, helping to shape the field for years to come
