Two Days with Biology Didactics 2026

The Department of Biology and Environmental Studies, Faculty of Education, Charles University, invites you to the fourth conference for teachers of natural science and biology. The conference will take place on February 5-6, 2026, at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, Celetná 13 and Celetná 20, Prague 1. This is a professional development event for teachers, and as such it is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MSMT-28686/2022-1) with the aim of deepening professional qualifications. Registered teachers will receive a certificate of completion.

During the conference, selected issues in biology education will be addressed and we will also share practical ideas for teaching natural science and biology. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange their experiences with colleagues, listen to expert lectures, take part in discussions and debates, try out practical teaching activities suitable for their students.

You may participate either as an attendee, gaining inspiration and new ideas, or as an active contributor by presenting your own teaching activities and materials. Contributions may take the form of lectures, discussion forums, or workshops. The conference is intended for primary and secondary school teachers who teach in the educational area People and Nature (especially Natural Science and Biology), as well as other professionals involved in natural science and biology education.

Registration for Teachers

To complete the accredited continuing education program, it is necessary to register and pay the conference fee. Applications are submitted electronically via the Charles University study application portal. Each participant (active or passive) must register individually. Registration for non-Teachers

If you would like to participate in the conference but are not a teacher (e.g., you are an academic staff member), please use this registration form. Participants who register via this route will not receive a certificate of continuing education for teaching staff.

Conference Fee

Each participant of the conference (with both active and passive participation) is required to pay the conference fee by January 22, 2026. The fee for one participant is 2,000 CZK. The fee covers the costs of the technical organization of the conference, administrative expenses, and refreshments during the event (refreshments and drinks throughout both days, dinner on the first evening of the event). The conference fee must be paid to the account: 85236011/0100. Please indicate the variable symbol: 684025 and in the payment message include the name and last name of the participant for whom the fee is being paid.
