The Future of Mathematics Education ResearchWe invite you to a lecture by David K. Pugalee from UNC Charlotte, Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education: International perspectives on the future of mathematics education converge around several key themes: the evolving technological landscape for teaching and learning, the persistent challenges of fostering inclusive and equitable practices for all students, and the urgent need for curricular paradigm shifts. These themes will be explored through a mathematical lens across K–12 education, undergraduate and graduate programs, and mathematics teacher preparation. This multifaceted discussion will inform the development of a forward-looking research agenda that responds effectively to global educational transformations. The lecture will take place on October, 14 at 4:10 p.m. in the room R302. You can also attend online via Zoom. |
