How to Get Your PhD Done on Time, Have Reach and Impact, and Be Competitive for Post-PhD Opportunities

In this lecture, Professor Andrew Martin will share his experiences from his own doctoral journey and from many years of supervising PhD students. He will focus on practical steps for completing a doctorate on time with postdoctoral impact, and on how to build a well-rounded academic profile already during the PhD. Participants will gain tips not only on how to successfully defend their dissertation, but also on how to develop a portfolio of skills and achievements that will make them competitive for academic as well as other professional opportunities after completing their doctorate.

Andrew Martin, Ph.D., (Scientia Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Oxford) is among the most highly cited experts in educational psychology (h-index > 100). He ranks in the Top 25 authors in education according to the Stanford/Elsevier list, and is also among the Top 5 most published educational psychologists of the past five years. He has been awarded for outstanding PhD supervision at his university four times.
