Role sociálního kapitálu v sociálně-ekonomickém rozvoji rodin s dětmi s kombinovaným postižením

Anotace:

I will present the key findings and implications of my doctoral research, The Role of Social Capital on the Socio-Economic Development of Families with Profound and Multiple Disabled (PMD) Children. This research introduces the CHIT model, a unique framework designed to empower and strengthen social capital and promote inclusive, ability-focused practices within families and communities.

I will discuss how the CHIT model, developed through Adapted Physical Activities (APA), enables families to build stronger internal bonds (bonding social capital), connect with broader community networks (bridging social capital), and gain access to opportunities for socio-economic empowerment. The lecture will also highlight the model’s versatility, demonstrating how its principles can be applied across various fields beyond sports, including education, rehabilitation, and community development.

Additionally, I will showcase some of my ongoing projects that exemplify the practical application of the CHIT model. These include the creation of adaptive sports kits, collaboratively developed with pupils with intellectual disabilities and their distribution to rehabilitation centres and families. These initiatives not only foster inclusion and empowerment but also create meaningful connections between diverse populations.

Through this lecture, I aim to illustrate the transformative potential of the CHIT model and its alignment with the values of interdisciplinary research and community engagement.
