Výroční konference České asociace pedagogického výzkumu

Pedagogický výzkum, vzdělávání učitelů a jiných pedagogických pracovníků jako i péče o děti a dospívající a podpora jejich učení, těží ze spolupráce různých oborů. Jedná se o spolupráci mezi obory a didaktikami těchto oborů, mezi didaktikami oborů navzájem a mezi různými aktéry vzdělávání. Důležitá je spolupráce nejen ve výzkumu, ale i při projektování vzdělávacích programů na různých stupních vzdělávání od předškolního až po celoživotní. Příkladem přínosu této spolupráce je oblast preprimárního a primárního vzdělávání, která je v České republice rozvíjena především katedrami preprimární a primární pedagogiky, jejichž založení před 30 lety si letos připomínáme.

Hlavních plenárních přednášek se ujmou Keith Barton, Indiana University Bloomington, School of Education, a Naďa Vondrová z katedry matematiky a didaktiky matematiky.

Are justice and harmony possible? A curriculum of idealistic and pragmatic hope

Today’s world is beset by social, political, economic, and environmental crises, and education can and must play a role in addressing these. But what is the role of schools in preparing students to face such urgent issues? A traditional curriculum focused on separate subjects does little to prepare students for a life of public participation. Instead, students must engage with the range of knowledge that will help them understand social issues, and they must deliberate how to best address those issues. This presentation addresses how schools might reimagine curriculum to provide students with both idealistic visions of what is possible and pragmatic reasons to think that effective action can be carried out in the present moment.

Keith C. Barton, the 2023 recipient of the Jean Dresden Grambs Career Research in Social Studies Award from the National Council of the Social Studies (U.S.A.), is Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, and Adjunct Professor of History, at Indiana University, where he prepares elementary teachers and educational researchers. His scholarship focuses on history, human rights, and the social sciences as preparation for civic participation, and he has conducted research on teaching and learning in the United States, Northern Ireland, New Zealand, and Singapore. He has been a visiting professor at the National Institute of Education (Singapore); Victoria University (New Zealand); the University of Ulster; and Uppsala University, and he has worked with teachers and teacher educators in South Sudan, Chile, Slovakia, the Republic of Ireland, and other countries.
