Workshop: 6th June 2022 Time: from 14:00 to 17:15 (15 minutes break included) Format: online meeting / workshop (ZOOM) Organiser: RUK - Student Affairs Department Organiser's contact: jitka.rychnova@ruk.cuni.cz Tutor: Jason Hwang Participants: The course is intended mainly for doctoral students About the tutor: Jason Hwang, MAEd He is originally from California and has been teaching in the Czech Republic since 2005. He focuses mainly on adult teaching, exams preparation, and academic writing for PhD students of science. He has taught academic English at several UK universities (Sheffield, Bristol, Edinburgh, UCL), various faculties at Charles University, SUCHDOL, the Technical University of Liberec, and the Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile, amongst others. Jason holds an MA in Education (Applied Linguistics) and the Cambridge Delta Diploma. He obtained degrees in Biochemistry/Cell Biology and Theatre from the University of California, San Diego. Before getting involved in English teaching, he was working for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies as a researcher, as well as acting with some of San Diego’s many theatre companies.
