            WORKSHOP: Scientific Presentations

            This 2-day workshop (8 hours total) looks at how to structure an effective presentation an

            confidence in presenting in English. Each participant will produce a 4-minute presentation
            structured feedback from the trainer and their peers.


            • Learn how to structure presentations effectively
            • Practise language specific to presentations

            • Develop more engaging visuals
            • Use voice and body language effectively
            • Learn how to deal with fear and nervousness


            About the tutor:


            Jason Hwang, B.S., B.A., M.A.Ed

            • He is originally from California and has been teaching in the Czech Republic since 2005.

            • He focuses mainly on adult teaching, exams preparation, and academic writing for PhD stu
              science.
            • He has taught academic English at several UK universities (Sheffield, Bristol, Edinburgh

              faculties at Charles University, SUCHDOL, the Technical University of Liberec, and the U
              del Desarrollo in Chile, amongst others. Jason holds an MA in Education (Applied Linguis
              Cambridge Delta Diploma.

            • He obtained degrees in Biochemistry/Cell Biology and Theatre from the University of Cali
              Diego. Before getting involved in English teaching, he was working for one of the world’
              pharmaceutical companies as a researcher, as well as acting with some of San Diego’s man

              companies.
