ARGOS – Advanced pRotection of critical buildinGs by Overal anticipating System

CSP is a member of international consortium led by Spanish consulting company EVERIS, which processed a draft project for the topic of SEC-2012.2.3.1 Early warning security system: physical protection of critical buildings for the framework EU program as a part of FP7-SEC-2012-1 challenge.

Visions and Strategies of Czech Ssociety Ddevelopment in EU – Security

Visions and Strategies of the Development of Czech Society within the EU (2007)

The project builds upon a wider approach to security and develops its theoretical and applied levels; identifies key factors influencing the security of the Czech Republic and the European Union; and formulates forecasts concerning the future development of security situations at large, in Europe and the Czech Republic. Members of the project team share in expert discussions on the formulation of a new Security Strategy of the Czech Republic and other key documents.

This is a joint project of the Czech Ministry of the Interior and General Directorate of the Czech Fire Rescue Service – Public Protection Institute of Lázně Bohdaneč. The goal of the 2006-2010 research project is to predict future changes in the security environment and their impact on the security policy of the Czech Republic.

EUSECON – A New Agenda for European Security Economics

SBP joined the preparations since 2007 and realization since 2008 of the 7th framework program EU project EUSECON – A New Agenda for European Security Economics. Project belongs to the framework of 10 Security theme. Coordinator of this theme DIW Berlin consortium made of fourteen partners. Project was dedicated to the framework building for research in the field of ‘security economics’ and economic aspects of concrete security issues and policies.


European Security Research and Innovation Forum – ESRIF

ESRIF was established in 2007 and representsed a voluntarily group of experts from European countries supported by European Commission, with the goal to prepare a vision and priorities of European security research till the end of 2009.

Within the framework of ESRIF operated eleven work groups.

PhDr. Miloš Balabán, Ph.D. was representing Czech Republic as a member of fifth work group Foresight
