Praha, 15. 7. 2024 – Univerzita Karlova (UK) a zapsaný ústav Elixír do škol (EDŠ) podepsaly memorandum o spolupráci. Společně chtějí podpořit učitelky a učitele matematiky, fyziky, chemie, informatiky a dalších přírodovědných oborů, ukázat jim zajímavé cesty výuky, a tu zatraktivnit nejen jim, ale také jejich žačkám a žákům.
Zejména na Pedagogické, ale i Přírodovědecké či Matematicko-fyzikální fakultě Univerzity Karlovy má pedagogika přírodovědných a technických oborů dlouholetou tradici. Studentky a studenti se zde učí, jak v budoucnu vtisknout znalosti těchto oborů do povědomí svých žaček a žáků a jak v nich probudit o tyto obory zájem. Elixír do škol vytváří podmínky pro kolegiální vzdělávání učitelů, aby s odvahou proměňovali vlastní výuku. Podporuje pedagogy ve zvědomování toho, proč, co a jak vyučují, ve sdílení a vzájemném učení a snaží se měnit pohled společnosti na funkční výukové přístupy, formy a metody. Vzdělává tak odbornou i laickou veřejnost včetně rodičů. Deklarace vzájemné spolupráce obou institucí tak je přirozenou cestou k dalšímu zlepšování a obohacování výuky budoucích učitelek a učitelů.
„Velmi si ceníme práce našich absolventek a absolventů, kteří se stávají vyučujícími a velkou mírou ovlivňují znalostní základy, ale často i směřování svých žáků a žaček. Oblast výuky přírodovědných a technických předmětů považujeme za zásadní i s ohledem na celou naši společnost, rozvoj její konkurenceschopnosti a budování znalostní ekonomiky s vyšší přidanou hodnotou. Proto si tolik ceníme spolupráce s Elixírem do škol, který dokáže učitelky a učitele v jejich práci ještě více motivovat a dále vzdělávat,“ uvedla k podpisu memoranda rektorka Univerzity Karlovy Milena Králíčková.
Elixír do škol umožní zaměstnancům a studentům univerzity aktivní zapojení do svých aktivit, zejména v oblasti expertního poradenství, lektorské činnosti a ve spolupráci na obsahu a evaluaci aktivit. Umožní jim také prostor pro vlastní prezentaci výukových programů pro učitelky a učitele matematiky, fyziky, chemie, informatiky a dalších přírodovědných oborů, a to zejména programů zaměřených na aktivizující výukové metody a popularizaci jednotlivých oborů.
„Naší primární cílovou skupinou jsou učitelky a učitelé mateřských, základních i středních škol. Jde nám o to, aby se děti učily naplno a s radostí a učitelé společně se žáky zažívali v procesu učení úspěch. Věříme, že v oblasti výuky přírodovědných a technických předmětů k tomu může významně přispět profesní síť zdravě sebevědomých a motivovaných pedagogů, jejichž dovednosti, znalosti, kompetence a postoje jsou zárukou smysluplné výuky. Velice si ceníme dlouholetého partnerství s Katedrou didaktiky fyziky MFF UK, kterou i díky memorandu budeme dále rozvíjet a navazovat na ni partnerstvím nejen s Přírodovědeckou a Pedagogickou fakultou UK,“ řekla ke spolupráci s největší českou univerzitou ředitelka Elixíru do škol Petra Prošková.
Univerzita se v memorandu vedle společné podpory kvalitní výuky zavázala k poskytování prostor pro aktivity Elixíru do škol,např. v prostorách výukového centra UK Didaktikon, a také ke spolupráci v oblasti celoživotního vzdělávání nebo pomoci prostřednictvím Dobrovolnického centra UK.

Prague, 15 July 2024 - Charles University (Charles University) and the registered institute Elixir for Schools (EYS) have signed a memorandum of cooperation. Together they want to support teachers of mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics and other scientific disciplines, show them interesting ways of teaching and make it more attractive not only for them but also for their students.
Especially at the Faculty of Education, but also at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, science and engineering education has a long tradition. Here, students learn how to impart knowledge in these fields to their future students and how to arouse their interest in these fields. Elixir to Schools creates the conditions for collegiate teachers to courageously transform their own teaching. It supports educators in becoming more aware of why, what and how they teach, in sharing and learning with each other, and seeks to change society's view of functional teaching approaches, forms and methods. It educates the professional and lay public, including parents. The declaration of mutual cooperation between the two institutions is therefore a natural way to further improve and enrich the education of future teachers.

We also consider the area of science and engineering education to be crucial for our society as a whole, for developing its competitiveness and for building a higher value-added knowledge-based economy. That is why we appreciate the cooperation with Elixir for Schools, which can motivate and educate teachers in their work," said Milena Králíčková, Rector of Charles University, when signing the memorandum.
The Elixir for Schools will enable the University's staff and students to actively participate in its activities, especially in the areas of expert advice, lecturing and collaboration on the content and evaluation of activities. It will also provide them with a space for self-presentation of educational programmes for teachers of mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics and other scientific disciplines, especially programmes focused on activating teaching methods and popularising specific disciplines.
"Our main target group is teachers of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. We want children to learn fully and enjoyably, and for teachers and students to experience success in the learning process. We believe that a professional network of healthy, confident and motivated teachers can make a significant contribution to science and technology education, knowledge, skills and attitudes to meaningful learning. We value our long-standing partnership with the Department of Physics Didactics at the Faculty of Physics of Charles University, which we will continue to develop thanks to the memorandum, and we will build on it by cooperating not only with the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Education of Charles University," says Petra Prošková, Director of Elixir for Schools, about the cooperation with the largest Czech university.
In the memorandum, the university has committed itself to providing space for Elixir to Schools' activities, for example in the premises of the UK Didaktikon Learning Centre, as well as cooperation in the field of lifelong learning or support through the UK Volunteer Centre.
