Charles university invites you to an honorary degree ceremony at which the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences, honoris causa, will be awarded to Béla Péter Merkely, D, PhD, MSc, DSc, FESC, FACC Professor of Cardiology and Rector of Semmelweis University in Budapest and the title of Doctor of Natural Sciences, honoris causa, will be awarded to Marc Van Ranst, MD, PhD, Professor of Virology at KU Leuven.

The Election Committee has published the results of the elections to the Academic Senate of the Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, for the 2025–2028 term, which took place at the Third Faculty of Medicine on November 4 and 5, 2025. Based on the number of votes, a new composition of the Academic Senate has been established.
